The Concept

The goal of the project was to design a new digital bank. I embarked on this project with the desire to bring a fresh perspective on the future of banking and to develop a new and refreshing financial experience.

The Research

As part of the research process, I conducted interviews with users to understand the gap between the target audience and existing banks. I explored various financial institutions, both locally and globally, aiming to identify the needs of users who currently lack satisfactory solutions from existing platforms. Several significant points emerged during the research:
 

  • Many users perceive traditional banks as bureaucratic, outdated, and inaccessible.
     

  • Many users find the bank overwhelming, and lack the necessary financial knowledge to navigate it.

User Personas

Shir, 28

Shir holds a degree in architecture and currently works in an architectural firm. She is trying to learn how to manage her finances effectively to save for the future
 

Goals

  • Overcome fear of dealing with money

  • Feel confident and in control of her financial management

 

Frustrations

  • Struggles to understand how banks operate and how to handle finances within them

  • Dislikes waiting on hold with customer service, and prefers managing tasks through the app

Dan, 35

Dan recently started a small business and is looking for new ways to manage his money efficiently and conveniently. His financial knowledge is relatively limited, and he's trying to learn the basics of finance.

Goals

  • Save time and effort in managing business finances

  • Finding financial solutions tailored to him as a small business owner

 

Frustrations

  • He needs to learn a lot about finance, which takes up a lot of his time

  • There's a lot of bureaucracy he needs to deal with, and he's not sure if he's doing it correctly

Solution Development

Revo is a new digital bank that prioritizes a user-friendly financial experience. It's a game-changer in the banking world, here to revolutionize the industry. He makes the experience simpler, through two main ways:
 

  • "Eye-level" content - delivering information in a simple manner suitable for those with limited financial knowledge.

  • User-friendly app - making the app easy, unintimidating, and even enjoyable to use.

Style Guide

Based on the understanding that the new bank represents a revolution in the banking world, I decided to infuse the visual language with values of innovation and rebellion. I chose to incorporate a visual representation of a flag into the logo as a symbol of revolution. Additionally, I opted to use historical imagery of revolutions, juxtaposed with a modern graphic interpretation. Alongside this, I selected black and green colors, associated with the realms of finance and commerce.
